Children First Montessori School does not discriminate based upon age, race, ethnicity or physical disability. CFMS accepts children over the age of 2 1/2 years. All children must be toilet-trained. Children who qualify by age, for the local public school Kindergarten program, will be considered for our Kindergarten program after consultation between teacher and parents.
The admissions procedure at CFMS is a two-fold process. It is designed to give parents an opportunity to learn about the school, its philosophy and policies, and to meet our faculty. It also gives us an opportunity to assess each child's situation and determine whether we are able to meet the needs and expectations of the parents. Our goal is to enroll families who will both benefit from and contribute to the school community. If you are interested in enrolling your child in Children First Montessori School:
1. Parents contact the school by calling (360) 373-3429 to request an application packet, or download it from here.
2. Parents complete the application and return it with the application fee ($50.00) to the CFMS office.
3. Once the application for enrollment is returned to the school by a prospective family, the Admissions Department will contact the family to schedule a classroom observation.
4. The Head teacher of the requested program and the Directors, review the application and make a decision regarding the acceptance of the applicant.
5. When the applicant is accepted a contract is sent to the parents.
6. A student is formally admitted when the CFMS office receives the signed contract and specified fees by the specified date.
